About me

My name is Kari and I have a passion for cooking.  My mom taught me to cook when I was very young, and since then I have taken it to the next level.  And the next.  The closest thing I have had to formal training in food is one class on the anthropology of food.  Nothing makes me happier than sharing food I’ve made with people who know how to truly enjoy it.  I’ll cook pretty much any recipe I can find as long as somebody will eat it, and  I love to experiment using new ingredients, tools, and cooking methods. I welcome any comments and critiques on recipes you may have.

  1. It’s nice to meet you, Kari. I’m a 30 year cook, former restaurant manager, and finally, in my later years, got a whack at actually cooking IN a commercial kitchen for a while. It’s great that you aren’t afraid to experiment. That’s what it takes to make cooking your own. The more you do, the better you get. 🙂
